Simplicity

Powerful systems tend to be complex – but they don’t need to be. Although it has the potential to create a worldwide network, Barco CTRL is surprisingly simple to set up and use. The user interface was designed for intuitive operation, based on our many talks with control room professionals.

Scalability

You need to prepare for the future – even if you don’t know what it brings. When designing CTRL, its flexibility was therefore a prime requirement. By simply adding encoders you can expand the number of inputs. Extra decoders add more operator positions and/or video walls.

Security

Strictly following the ‘Security by design’ principles, the platform allows users to securely connect to their sources, from any location. Barco CTRL also has a Zero Trust architecture, which means it can be deployed in any environment.

Barco's NGS-D440 is a powerful encoder. This device enables the support of HDMI 2.0 compliant 4K60 AV sources.

Features and benefits:

  • Superb image quality
    The NGS-D440 comes with Barco’s latest image processing engine, which provides the best scaling and color space conversion algorithms on the market today. Furthermore, resolutions up to 4K60 are supported through an industry-standard protocol.
  • Network IT-integrated
    The NGS-D440 requires standard IT services (DHCP, DNS, NTP) to be available in the network during operation. This allows to easily change the network configuration without the need to reconfigure the system. Furthermore, it provides easy and central management through its configured host name in your domain (no need to remember IPs).
  • Easy installation & configuration
    Because of the above-mentioned network integration, the device discovery is faster and simpler than ever. Additionally, it is very easy and fast to create a source via a utility button that can be used to identify a device.
  • Performance
    The NGS-D440 comes with an HDMI 2.0 input. This input supports up to UHD (3840 x 2160) at 60fps and features an active loop-through that creates a 1:1 copy of the input. Furthermore, the power (PoE+ and USB-C) and the network (bonding) redundancy guarantee a high uptime of the device.
