DataVideo HDR portable recorders offer huge advantages over using other storage media. Videos can be copied rather than captured, dropout is a thing of the past and new workflows are possible. These HDR units can be connected directly to a computer via the built-in USB 2.0 or eSATA interface for off loading or editing directly from the drive. HDR Recorder writes to the NTFS file format system which makes the drive readable by both Mac and Windows systems. For remote control, the HDR recorder features a 9-pin connector that allows control by RS-232 or RS-422.
